PoE2 0.4.0 Low-Budget Visceral Quiver Crafting Guide: The Recombination Method
📋 Background
The 0.4.0 Crafting Challenge
In Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0, the Omen of Homogenising Exaltation no longer drops. This change significantly increased the cost of crafting high-end Quivers, as we can no longer easily force specific modifiers.
However, we have developed a new method. By combining Recombination with Corrupted Essences, we can still craft a "God-Tier" Quiver for a fraction of the market price.
Here is the final result we are aiming for:
🛠️ Crafting Materials
Gather these materials. This method relies on "High Risk, High Reward" mechanics like Recombination and Double-Exalting.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Crafting Guide
This workflow combines base preparation with targeted slamming.
Step 1: Base Preparation (The Setup)
We need to combine specific mods from two different items. Buy or roll two Quivers:
- Quiver A: Must have +2 to Level of Bow Projectiles (Prefix) and Tier 2+ Crit Chance/Crit Multi (Suffix).
- Quiver B: Must have a sacrificial Prefix, like Tier 9 Physical Damage.
- Note: The goal is to merge the good Suffix and the +2 Projectiles onto one item, while keeping a "bad" prefix to remove later.
Step 2: Recombination
- Place both Quivers in the crafting window.
- Apply Omen of Recombination (Makes the process Lucky).
- Recombine them.
- Goal: You want a resulting Quiver with: +2 Projectiles (Prefix), T9 Physical Damage (Prefix), and your Good Suffix.
Step 3: The Unveil (Second Suffix)
Now we add another strong Suffix.
- Apply Omen of Dextral Necromancy (Forces Suffix).
- Apply Omen of Abyssal Echoes (Allows reroll).
- Use Preserved Jawbone.
- Unveil the modifier.
- Target: Look for Attack Speed OR the Crit Mod you are missing (e.g., if you have Crit Chance, look for Crit Multi).
Step 4: The Essence Swap (Prefix Fix)
We need to replace the "bad" T9 Physical Damage prefix with something powerful.
- Apply Omen of Sinistral Crystallisation.
- Use Essence of Hysteria.
- Mechanic: This Essence removes a Prefix and adds (43–50)% increased Damage with Bow Skills.
- The Gamble: You have a 50/50 chance. You want it to remove the T9 Physical Damage. If it removes the +2 Projectiles, you must restart.
- Success: You now have +2 Projectiles, Huge Bow Damage, and 2 Great Suffixes.
Step 5: The Double Slam (Big Damage)
Quivers have very strong Prefix weights for Flat Damage. We will add two mods at once.
- Apply Omen of Greater Exaltation.
- Use a Perfect Exalted Orb.
- Result: This adds two new random Prefixes. Because Quiver prefixes are mostly elemental or physical damage, you have a very high chance of hitting Tier 1/Tier 2 Flat Physical or Elemental Damage.
Summary
This method uses Recombination to set up the base and the "Essence Swap" tech to secure high % Damage. Finally, the "Double Slam" fills the item with raw power. This is the most cost-effective way to craft a mirror-tier Quiver in Patch 0.4.0.
