PoE2 0.4.0 BiS Minion Solar Amulet Crafting Guide: The Cost-Effective Method
📋 Background
The 0.4.0 Meta Shift
With the arrival of Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.4.0, many pure damage builds (like Deadeye and Bloodmage) received significant nerfs. As a result, PoE2 Minion builds have become a top choice for endgame content.
To maximize a summoner's potential, you need a specific amulet: +3 to Level of all Minion Skills combined with Tier 1/Tier 2 Spirit.
In previous leagues, this was easy. However, Patch 0.4.0 removed the Omen of Homogenising Exaltation, making it much harder to force the +3 skill mod. This guide presents a new, deterministic method to craft the ultimate Solar Amulet for your build.
Here is the final result we are aiming for:
🛠️ Crafting Materials
Gather these materials. We rely on specific interactions between Omens and Essences to bypass RNG.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Crafting Guide
Follow the workflow below. It prioritizes securing the core stats first to minimize risk.
Step 1: The Base (Fractured)
Start by purchasing or creating a Solar Amulet.
- Requirement: It must have +3 to Level of all Minion Skills as a Fractured modifier.
- This locks the most important stat in place, so we can't accidentally remove it.
Step 2: Rolling Spirit
Use Chaos Orbs repeatedly on the item.
- Goal: You are looking for Tier 1 or Tier 2 + to Spirit.
- Spirit is crucial for fitting more auras and minions in 0.4.0. Do not settle for a low roll.
- Note: Ensure you have at least one open Prefix and one open Suffix before proceeding. If the item is full, use an Annulment Orb (carefully).
Step 3: The Defence Swap
Now we add a powerful defensive Prefix while cleaning up a Suffix.
- Apply Omen of Dextral Exaltation.
- Use an Exalted Orb. (This guarantees adding a dummy Suffix).
- Apply Omen of Dextral Crystallisation.
- Use Perfect Essence of Enhancement.
- Result: The Essence forces the removal of the Suffix we just added (or another random suffix) and adds (20–30)% increased Global Defences as a Prefix.
- You now have three Prefixes: +3 Minion Skills, High Spirit, and Global Defences.
Step 4: The Kurgal Desecration
We need to add a specific desecrated modifier .
- Apply Omen of Sinistral Necromancy (Forces Prefix).
- Apply Omen of the Blackblooded (Forces Kurgal Mod).
- Apply Omen of Abyssal Echoes (Safety net to reroll).
- Use Preserved Collarbone.
- Unveil the modifier.
- Goal: Choose "% increased Energy Shield from equipped Body Armour".
- This synergy with high ES body armours provides massive survivability for Summoners.
Step 5: Finishing Suffixes (Catalyst Tech)
Finally, we fill the empty Suffixes with Resistances.
- Apply Fire/Cold/Lightning Catalysts until the quality is 20%.
- Apply Omen of Catalysing Exaltation.
- Use a Greater Exalted Orb.
- Why Catalysts? In PoE2, catalysts increase the "weight" (probability) of rolling their associated tags by 500%. By using the Catalyst Omen, you are almost guaranteed to hit high-tier Resistance modifiers to cap your build.
Summary
By using a Fractured base and manipulating the Suffix/Prefix slots with Omens, you have crafted a Solar Amulet that offers offense (+3 Skills), utility (Spirit), and defense (ES/Global Def). This is the perfect item for any poe2 minion build in Patch 0.4.0.
