1. The Foundation: Map Atlas Passives

Before specializing in Ritual, you must build a foundation. As we learned in the mechanics guide, your Tribute generation is directly tied to the number and rarity of monsters in the Ritual circle.

Therefore, your primary goal on the main Atlas tree is to maximize monster density.

Your core focus should be on all passives that grant:

2. The Strategy: Ritual Specialist Passives

Once your foundation is set, you can choose a Ritual-specific tree. There are three primary strategies, each based on your goals and Tribute generation.

Strategy 1: The "Reroll" Strategy

Goal: To see the maximum number of reward windows. Use this when your Tribute generation is already sufficient to fund many rerolls.
Passives: "Spreading Darkness" + "Ominous Portents"

Goal: To guarantee a high and stable amount of Tribute from every Ritual.
Passives: "Spreading Darkness" + "Between Two Worlds"

Strategy 3: The "Tribute Ceiling" Strategy

Goal: To push the absolute maximum possible Tribute, at the cost of much higher difficulty.
Passives: "From the Mists" + "Reinvigorated Sacrifices"

Why this works: This is a high-risk, high-reward strategy for very strong builds. "From the Mists" adds additional monsters to your Rituals, which are not based on the map's native density. This dramatically increases the ceiling for Tribute gain. "Reinvigorated Sacrifices" complements this by adding even more revived monsters. This combination is the key to hitting "jackpot" level Tribute numbers, but be warned: it makes the Rituals significantly more dangerous.
