How to Farm Ritual in PoE2 0.5.0

Background

This is a high-investment Ritual strategy. It is built around Favour rerolls, not normal map drops.

The route uses Head of the King to start a six-map Rite of the Nameless path inside the Caer Tarth city area. Several rare Ritual Tablets add rerolls, Tribute, faster deferred Favour returns, and more Omen Favours. Freedom of Faith then doubles the available rerolls.

The goal is to finish every Ritual Altar, build a large Tribute pool, and cycle the Favour screen many times. A fully covered map can reach more than 40 rerolls when the Tablet rolls and route geometry line up.

This is not a guaranteed-profit strategy. The setup is expensive, and Omen results are random.

Why This Farm Works

Freedom of Faith

Freedom of Faith lets Ritual Altars reroll Favours twice as many times. Its downside is 10-15% increased Tribute cost for Favours.

Rare Ritual Tablets can add up to three rerolls each. They can also raise Tribute and make deferred Favours return sooner. Overlapping three or four good Tablets turns one city map into a long reward search.

The route targets Contaminated Rituals through Traveller's Woe. This Ritual type uses blood-wave hazards, so the build must keep moving while fighting inside a small arena.

Jado's Spycraft	Use `Long Days` and `Ancient Activations`	These are the two route talents called out by the strategy. The other two Jado slots are flexible.
Strong Ritual build	High confined-area clear, reliable recovery, and good boss damage	Later Altars revive more monsters. The Rite also carries bosses forward.
Reward price list	Update it before each farming batch	Omen and Unique values change quickly. Use current sell prices, not old screenshots.

Ritual Tablet Modifier Priority

The rare Tablet name does not matter. Buy the exact modifiers.

Do not pay a premium for item rarity or monster rarity on this setup. The Favour screen is the main reward source.

Atlas Setup

Use these Ritual choices:

Traveller's Woe: select Contaminated. This gives a 100% increased chance to find that specific Ritual type.
Invigorated Sacrifices: use the option that adds Favour quality while reducing the Tribute penalty from revived monsters by 50%.
Take the available Tribute and reroll support around the Ritual tree.
Use Ongoing Chants when the current tree still requires it to extend the Rite to six maps.

For the general Atlas tree, prioritize monster count and pack size. Map item rarity has little effect on the Favour screen.

For Jado's Spycraft, use:

Long Days: 20% more chance of Random Extra Content.
Ancient Activations: Powerful Map Bosses have a 5% chance to add an Ancient Modifier to a nearby Map.

The other two Jado talent slots are not required by the core reroll loop.

Ritual Route and Atlas Setup

Farming Loop

Step 1: Find the Right City Route

Goal: keep all six Rite maps inside one dense Tablet coverage area.

The Journey Ahead

Start Rite of the Nameless with Head of the King. Look for a Cities route where six connected city maps can be selected.

Choose a starting map with several useful connections. Plan the whole route before confirming it. The map icons must remain inside the city area, not on nearby non-city maps.

If the six-map route cannot be covered well, do not commit the expensive Tablets. Find a better city cluster first.

Step 2: Build the Tablet Overlap

Goal: put the strongest reroll coverage on the maps with the largest Tribute pool.

Cover the early city maps with rare Ritual Tablets. Each good Tablet should have three additional Favour rerolls plus at least one Tribute or Omen modifier.

Save the strongest overlap for the final two maps. A good late setup uses three rare reroll Tablets and Freedom of Faith. The unique Tablet doubles the total reroll access after the rare Tablet modifiers are counted.

Check remaining uses before opening the route. Tablets can be repositioned between route stages, but an expired Tablet cannot support the last maps.

Step 3: Use Safe T15+ Waystones

Goal: keep the high-level reward pool without bricking the route.

Run tier 15 or higher Waystones. Read every modifier before opening the map.

Avoid combinations that shut down recovery, overwhelm resistances, or make bosses too slow. The strategy already adds crowded Ritual arenas and repeated bosses. Extra danger does not improve the Favour screen enough to justify a failed route.

Step 4: Finish All Six Ritual Altars

Goal: build the largest possible Tribute pool before opening the final reward screen.

Clear the map, enter every Ritual Circle, activate every Altar, and kill all revived monsters. In the demonstrated city layout, the map contained six Ritual Altars.

Do not stop after the first few Altars. Later Altars can revive monsters from earlier encounters and produce more Tribute. The completed map shows a dark-purple Ritual indicator when all six Altars are done.

The final Altar is the dangerous one. Save movement skills and defensive cooldowns for it.

Step 5: Inspect Before You Reroll

Goal: never roll over a valuable Favour.

Read the complete Favour list before spending Tribute. Buy a valuable reward when the price is reasonable. Defer it when the current Tribute pool cannot support the purchase.

Price-check exact Omen names. Common crafting targets include:

Omen of whittling
Omen of Dextral Annulment
Omen of Sinistral Annulment
Omen of Greater Annulment

Step 6: Maintain Deferred Favours

Goal: keep a good reward alive until it becomes affordable.

A deferred Favour returns with a yellow border. Buy it when possible. If it is still too expensive, defer it again instead of spending the Tribute elsewhere.

The faster-return Tablet modifier and Patient Devotion can make this safer. Do not assume the reward will remain available forever without another defer.

Step 7: Spend Tribute on the Full Reroll Chain

Goal: convert the setup cost into as many useful reward screens as possible.

After protecting valuable Favours, use the remaining Tribute to reroll. The expensive setup only makes sense when the build completes every Altar and uses the available rerolls.

Do not buy weak side rewards early. A small purchase can remove several later rerolls. Keep a Tribute reserve for deferred targets.

Move to the next Rite map and repeat. The final two maps should receive the strongest Tablet overlap because the route has had more time to build value.

What to Skip

Skip a city route that cannot keep all six maps under useful Tablet coverage.
Skip rare Ritual Tablets without the three-additional-rerolls modifier unless they are cheap test pieces.
Skip item rarity and monster rarity rolls when they replace Tribute, Omen, defer, or reroll modifiers.
Skip Waystones that disable the build's recovery or defences.
Skip low-value Favours when the Tribute is needed for rerolls.
Skip a full-investment run if Freedom of Faith will expire before the strongest maps.
Skip the last Altar when death would end the Rite and the build cannot handle the revived density.

Profit And Risk

The cost is paid up front. Head of the King, Freedom of Faith, three or four well-rolled rare Ritual Tablets, and T15+ Waystones can make one route expensive.

The return is volatile. Many reward screens will contain nothing worth buying. A strong crafting Omen or rare Unique can cover a large part of the setup, but it should not be treated as the expected result.

The main gameplay risk is the final Ritual Altar. Contaminated Rituals add moving blood waves, while revived rares and Rite bosses fill the arena. A death can erase the value of the remaining maps.

Track complete routes, not single jackpot maps. Record the key cost, Tablet use cost, Waystones, purchased Favours, deferred Favours, and items that actually sell.

Summary

Use Head of the King to plan six connected Caer Tarth maps. Cover the route with rare Ritual Tablets that add three Favour rerolls, Tribute, faster deferred returns, and Omen chance. Put Freedom of Faith on the strongest late overlap.

Run safe T15+ Waystones. Finish every Ritual Altar, inspect the reward screen before rerolling, and defer valuable Favours immediately. Keep enough Tribute to use the full reroll chain.

This method has a high ceiling and a high entry cost. Test one route before buying Tablets in bulk.
