PoE2 Ritual Farming Guide: The Ultimate Tablet & Waystone Setup

Welcome, Exile. This is the final piece of our Ritual farming series. You have already learned the core Ritual Mechanics and the best Atlas Passive Strategies.

This guide will show you the practical, high-investment setup for your Tablets and Waystones. This is how you turn all that theory into a massive stream of currency and high-value Omens.

1. Tablet Selection: The "0-Cost Deferral" Strategy

This is the most powerful and popular high-end Ritual strategy. The goal is to stack modifiers to achieve 100% reduced cost for deferring items, allowing you to defer everything for free.

Your setup should be:

• 1x Legendary Tablet: "Freedom of Faith"
• 2x Normal Tablets: "Reduced Deferral Cost"

The Math for 0-Cost Deferral

This setup relies on precise math. As explained in our mechanics guide (by stacking Atlas Passives for Tablet Effect and the "Promised Devotion" keystone), you need a total of 39% "reduced Deferral Cost" from your Tablets.

However, "Freedom of Faith" increases the cost (let's call this value X%).

Therefore, your formula is: Total Reduced Cost from 2 Normal Tablets $\ge$ 39% + X%

Example:

• Your "Freedom of Faith" has Favours at Ritual Altars in Area costs 15% increased Tribute (X = 15).
• You must stack at least 54% reduced Deferral Cost from your other two Tablets (39% + 15% = 54%).

The Result & Next Steps

This setup gives you 0-cost deferrals and 4 rerolls (from the Legendary Tablet doubling your base 2 rerolls).

Your next priority is to get the Area Level to 80+ to enable the best Omen drops.

• Prioritize maps with Precursors or Strong Bosses (which grant +Area Level).
• If none are available, use a 6-modifier T16 Waystone to supplement the Area Level.

Since this Tablet setup is expensive, it is wise to combine this farm with other strategies (like farming Primary and Secondary Calamity Fragments) to maximize the profit of every map.

2. Waystone (Map) Selection: Maximizing Tribute

This is the golden rule of Ritual farming: Monster Pack Size is your most important resource.

Ritual revives the native monsters in the map. More monsters = more Tribute. Your Waystone setup is entirely focused on this.

Modifier Priority

When rolling your Waystones, this is your priority:

1. % increased Monster Pack Size (Highest Priority)
2. % increased Magic/Rare Monsters
3. % increased Rarity (Lowest Priority)

Pack Size is king because it guarantees more monsters in the Ritual circle. Increased Magic/Rare monsters is also good, as they grant more Tribute, but those monsters might not spawn inside the circle.

Rarity (IIR/IIQ) from your gear or map does not affect the rewards in the Ritual window. Do not prioritize it.

Anointing Your Waystones

• Anoint all of your Waystones with 3x "Distilled Guilt" for maximum Pack Size.
• Warning: This significantly increases map difficulty. If you find yourself lagging or dying, and you already have enough Tribute to fund your rerolls, you can skip anointing.

Omen of Chaotic Monsters

• If your Waystone has low pack size modifiers, use an Omen of Chaotic Monsters. This will reroll the modifiers, converting all rewards into Monster Packs.
• Exception: If your Waystone has very high Rarity modifiers, do not use this Omen. Sell that Waystone to a "Magic Find" (IIR/IIQ) farmer or use it for a different strategy.
