How to Farm Omen of Light with Abyss Tablets in PoE2

How to Farm Omen of Light with Abyss Tablets in PoE2 Cover Image

Background

This strategy targets Omen of Light and Omen of Abyssal Echoes from Abyss encounters. It is built for players who cannot clear Breach maps at 200 Deliriousness comfortably.

The core idea is simple. Create more Rare Abyssal monsters, give more of them Abyssal Modifiers, and run more Abysses per map. Monster Effectiveness and general item quantity can improve the rest of the map, but they are not the main investment for Omen of Light.

Why This Farm Works

Omen of Light Abyss Farm Overview

Abyss monsters inherit modifiers from monsters killed around the fissure. Rare inherited modifiers can become Abyssal Modifiers. The route therefore stacks Rare Monster count, Monster Rarity, extra Abysses, and the chance for Abyssal monsters to gain Abyssal Modifiers.

balance of power

Balance of Power is set to Amanamu. The tested route then hunts the Amanamu-aligned Rare monsters that can produce the target Omen pool.

This farm is slower and less stable than a strong 200-Delirious Breach setup. It is easier on build power, but a dry streak can last several maps.

Required Setup

ItemRequirementWhy It Matters
City map clusterChoose a city area that can be covered by four Tablet effectsThe strategy consumes four Abyss Tablet uses per map in the target city cluster.
Abyss TabletsPrepare four rare Tablets in the 2+2 setup belowThey add Abysses and stack the modifiers that create more eligible Rare monsters.
WaystonesRoll with an Orb of Alchemy, corrupt, then filter the resultsCorruption works with Jado's Unexpected Missions to add one random modifier.
Waystone filterKeep at least 30% increased Rarity of Items found and 20% increased Monster RarityThese were the minimum filters used by the tested route.
Jado's SpycraftTake Partial Translations, Unexpected Missions, and Keen AppraisalThese scale Tablet modifiers, add a modifier to corrupted Waystones, and raise Exceptional Item finds.
Abyss AtlasSet Balance of Power to Amanamu and take one rank of Lord of the PitAmanamu is the target faction. Lord of the Pit spreads pits through the area and can add another Abyss.

The Four-Tablet 2+2 Setup

Do not buy four identical Tablets. Only two Tablets need the four-extra-Abysses modifier because additional copies can exceed the useful encounter count for the map.

tablet1

PairQtyExact Modifiers to Prioritize
Rare density pair2Map has (15-20)% increased Monster Rarity; Map has (25-35)% increased number of Rare Monsters; one useful Abyss suffix, preferably (1-2) additional Rare Monsters are spawned from Abysses in Map
Abyss chance pair2Map has (25-35)% increased number of Rare Monsters; Map has (20-40)% chance to contain four additional Abysses; (20-30)% increased chance for Abyssal monsters in Map to have Abyssal Modifiers

The exact Tablet names do not matter. Buy the explicit modifiers. Mix the rolls across the four Tablets if that gives the same coverage for less currency.

Abyss Passive Priorities

Use these verified passives as the base of the route:

  • Balance of Power: select Amanamu.
  • Lord of the Pit: take the first available rank for scattered pits. Its maximum Effectiveness value is inconsistent between current data sources, so verify the in-game text before investing further.
  • Sprawling Rupture: Abysses spawn 25% increased Monsters.
  • From Below: Abysses contain one additional Pit.
  • Dark Depths: adds chances for two, three, or four additional Pits.

The demonstrated setup also takes passives for an additional Rare monster in Rare packs, Rare Monster count, Item Rarity, a 10% Chaos Orb reward chance, and 15% Monster Effectiveness in city maps.

Farming Loop

Step 1: Build a Cheap Tablet Set

Goal: stack the useful Abyss modifiers without paying for four perfect copies.

Buy two Tablets for Monster Rarity and Rare Monster count. Buy two more for Rare Monster count, four additional Abysses, and increased chance for Abyssal Modifiers.

The June 22 test paid about 6 Divine Orbs per Tablet. Four ten-use Tablets therefore cost about 24 Divine Orbs for a ten-map batch.

Step 2: Roll and Filter the Waystones

Goal: keep enough rarity while letting the Tablets carry the main strategy.

Use an Orb of Alchemy on a batch of Waystones, then corrupt them. Keep maps with at least 30% increased Rarity of Items found and 20% increased Monster Rarity.

Read every dangerous modifier before opening the map. The route does not need 200 Deliriousness, but corrupted modifiers can still disable recovery or overwhelm a weaker build.

tablet1

Unexpected Missions gives corrupted Waystones one additional random modifier when they open a map. Do not leave the Waystones uncorrupted if you are spending a Jado talent on this effect.

Step 3: Travel to a City Cluster

Goal: save the expensive Abyss Tablets for the target maps.

Move toward a city area on the Atlas. You can use three cheaper Irradiated Tablets while clearing the approach maps.

Once you reach the city cluster, replace that travel setup with the four Abyss Tablets. Confirm all four effects cover the map before opening it.

Step 4: Clear Every Pit

Goal: maximize the number of Rare Abyssal monsters rolled in each map.

Follow every Abyss fissure and close every pit. Do not leave after the first reward. More pits mean more attempts at the target Rare monster.

This is the main reason the farm is slow. A Breach route can finish its fixed encounters and leave. This route needs you to check the full map and resolve many pits.

Step 5: Pull the Target Monster Out of the Black Fog

Goal: avoid converting the target drop into Omen of the Sovereign.

When an Amanamu-aligned Rare monster creates black fog, keep both your character and any Totems outside it. Attacks may fail while the monster remains inside the fog. Do not walk in to force damage.

Move about half a screen away from the pit. Wait for the monster to follow you. Its fog should remain behind. Kill it only after both you and the monster are outside the fog.

monster

The tested route reports that a kill inside the fog produces Omen of the Sovereign, while a kill outside allows the rarer Omen pool, including Omen of Light, Omen of Abyssal Echoes, Omen of Putrefaction, Omen of Sinistral Necromancy, and Omen of Dextral Necromancy. This interaction is not documented in the checked official patch notes. Treat the dropped Omen as feedback and recheck the positioning if Omen of the Sovereign appears.

Step 6: Finish the Cluster and Measure a Full Batch

Goal: judge the strategy over enough maps to absorb dry streaks.

Finish the city maps covered by the four Tablets, then move to the next city cluster. Price liquid Omens first. Track the Tablet cost separately from ordinary Waystone rolling.

Do not judge the farm after one map. The test had maps with no Omen of Light and other maps with several.

What to Skip

  • Skip four copies of the four-extra-Abysses modifier. Two Tablets were enough for the tested setup.
  • Skip a full-investment map when fewer than four Abyss Tablet effects cover it.
  • Skip Waystones that break your build, even when their rarity is high.
  • Skip 200 Deliriousness for this route. It adds difficulty without being the core Omen scaler.
  • Skip general Monster Effectiveness as a primary purchase. Use it only when it comes from efficient Atlas points or useful Waystone rolls.
  • Do not skip Abyss pits. Each pit is another chance to create the target Rare monster.
  • Do not enter the black fog to finish the target monster quickly.

Profit And Risk

A six-hour session dated June 22, 2026 reported 16 Omen of Light and 68 Omen of Abyssal Echoes. At that session's prices, the two Omen types were valued at roughly 150 Divine Orbs in total. Bones, other currency, and unsold items were not included.

That result is a dated sample, not an expected hourly return. The same setup can produce no Omen of Light for several maps.

The main financial risk is variance. The main gameplay risk is impatience around the black fog. Killing the target too early can change the Omen result reported by the route.

Summary

Use four Abyss Tablets in a 2+2 split. Stack Rare Monster count on all four. Put the four-extra-Abysses and increased Abyssal Modifier chance rolls on only two of them.

Run corrupted, high-rarity Waystones in a city cluster with Jado's Tablet support. Set Balance of Power to Amanamu. Clear every pit, pull the target Rare monster away from its black fog, and kill it outside the fog.

This is a good option when 200-Delirious Breach maps are too demanding. Expect slower maps and uneven returns.
