In Path of Exile 2, Expedition stands out as one of the most reliable solo farming strategies. It doesn't rely on lucky "jackpot" drops; instead, it provides a steady stream of income.
Whether you are progressing through early maps or looking to fund your next big upgrade, farming Expedition Logbooks is a top-tier strategy. Logbooks are highly liquid (easy to sell) and offer great rewards if you run them yourself.
This guide will teach you the specific setup to drop multiple Logbooks per map.
Before we talk about how to farm, you must understand where Logbooks come from.
When you encounter an Expedition in a map, you see two things:

The Golden Rule: Logbooks drop primarily from Runic Monsters (The Big Flags). While chests can drop them, the vast majority of your Logbooks will come from the large "Skull on a Stick" markers (Runic Monsters). Therefore, your entire strategy is about making Runic Monsters harder and more rewarding.
To maximize drops, we need to layer three different multipliers: Atlas Passives, In-Map Remnant Selection, and Map Juicing.
You cannot farm efficient Logbooks without specific Atlas nodes.

When you are placing your explosives, the order matters. Remnants apply their buffs to all monsters spawned after the Remnant is destroyed.
Always prioritize blowing up these Remnants first:
Strategy: Look for the Tier S/A mods immediately. Place your first explosive to destroy them, then chain the rest of the explosives to hit as many Big Flags (Runic Monsters) as possible.
Don't run Expedition on empty maps.
Waystone Selection: Look for maps with High Rare Monster Count. Since Runic Monsters are essentially "Rare" mobs, map modifiers that affect rare monsters can scale their rewards.
Precursor Tablet Selection: If you are using Tablets to force Expedition, look for these specific stats:
The formula for printing Logbooks is simple:
Follow this loop, and you will have a stash full of Logbooks in no time.
