💎 Why Farm Breach Splinters?
In Path of Exile 2, Breach Splinters hold immense value due to the rewards locked behind the boss encounter.
The Value Chain: Splinters allow you to fight "Xesht, We That Are One". This boss is the source of:
- Meta Gems: High-value items like Uul-Netol's Embrace and Xoph's Pyre, which are mandatory for popular Lich, Bloodmage, and Pathfinder builds.
- Essential Catalysts: Drops like Reaver, Esh's, and Neural Catalysts. Since the Omen of Catalysing Exaltation is now a primary crafting method in 0.4.0, the demand for these catalysts is sky-high.

🖐️ The Mechanic: Hands & Splinters
Breach gameplay starts when you encounter a demonic hand in your map:
Once activated, the Breach expands. Your primary goal isn't just killing monsters—it's touching the Clasped Hands that appear.
When the Breach closes, these Clasped Hands open and shower you with Splinters. More Hands = More Splinters.
🛠️ Strategy Part 1: Atlas Passives
To make this profitable, you need to specialize your Atlas. We focus on two critical nodes that multiply your loot.
1. Quantity: "Waking Nightmare"
- Effect: "Clasped Hands in your Maps have 60% chance to drop double Breach Splinters".
- Why: This is a massive multiplier. It directly increases the yield from every single hand you touch.
2. Density: "Grasping Hands"
- Effect: "Breaches in your Maps have 30% more Clasped Hands".
- Why: More hands mean more targets to touch, which scales perfectly with the double drop chance from Waking Nightmare.
Note: The rest of your points can be spent on other mechanics you enjoy, but these two are mandatory for Splinter farming.
📜 Strategy Part 2: Tablet Optimization
The second half of the strategy is your Breach Precursor Tablet setup. You need to roll specific modifiers to juice the map.
Target Affixes (Suffixes are Key): Look for Tablets containing these two specific mods:
